With roots in both executive coaching and leadership training, a coach will use a variety of methods tailored to the client to move through the process of setting and reaching goals.
A life coach is distinguishable from a counselor in other disciplines as they draw from a wide variety of disciplines, including sociology, psychology, career counseling, mentoring, and other types of counseling. Coaches in life should be selected for their proven skills in the same areas that the individual would like to improve. This helps maximize the effectiveness of coaching.
